Ricciardo gave Hamilton 'something more important than those seven world titles'

Daniel Ricciardo always celebrates his victories, and nowadays his podiums, with a shoey. The shoey is a now famous Australian ritual where the driver drinks champagne from his sweaty racing shoe on stage.
In recent years, Ricciardo has made it his habit to let the other drivers who were unlucky enough to be on the podium with him drink from his shoe. Lewis Hamilton once declared that he would never take part in this, but in Imola this year Ricciardo got him to do so.
Ricciardo always in for a joke
It was like a small victory for Ricciardo, who with a wink he made even bigger on the 'In The Fast Lane' podcast. "I signed that shoe and gave it to Lewis for the next race. Now he certainly has something more important than seven world titles."
Luckily for Hamilton, Ricciardo put the shoe on the balcony at home in Monaco to 'air out'. He says he always does that before they disappear into his display case.
