Sainz already knows that Leclerc is not Norris: "It should be okay"

For next season there will be a lot of changes when it comes to teammates. For example, Carlos Sainz will have to say goodbye to Lando Norris. The Spaniard already knows that it will not be the same with Charles Leclerc.
For many, Verstappen and Ricciardo are still the best 'modern driver pairing' in Formula 1, but Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz offer good competition in that area. This has not gone unnoticed by McLaren, who has exhibited their relationship extensively in social media videos.
The secret of their 'bromance', according to the pair, lies in the way they pushed each other to the limit on the track. "We pushed each other very aggressively, but we show that in a different way than you are used to from drivers. Of course, we want to beat each other, we both have a competitive spirit," says Lando Norris at Motorsport-Total.com.
The real bond between drivers emerges when there is friction between the two of them, such as a collision on the track. But according to Norris, none of that was a problem. "We're not making it worse than it is," the young driver simply explained.
Building a new relationship
Of course, it also helps that from day one there is a good connection between Sainz and Norris. "From the first day I met him, it felt supernatural. I get along very well with him. We're very ambitious on the track, but we both stay on the straight," says Sainz.
The Spaniard knows that he'll have to get used to Ferrari, where he has to compete with Charles Leclerc and with whom he doesn't have the same relationship with Norris. "We get along very well, we often talk on the phone. It should be okay. I think we are getting along very well," the brand new Ferrari driver looks ahead.
