For Lando Norris next season will be an important year. The McLaren driver has had two seasons to get used to F1 and 2021 will be the year for Norris to prove himself. In 2020, he made the podium in Austria and will be hoping to do the same next season.
In a preview from McLaren, the young driver looks ahead to next season. "I can't wait to get behind the wheel of an F1 car again. It feels like a long time since the last race in Abu Dhabi and I can't wait to race again". The changes within McLaren are also a reason for Norris to look forward to the upcoming season. "Of course also to have Daniel as my teammate".
Ricciardo brings experience
"Not only because he's nice to have around, but also because I'm curious about his approach. Daniel has a lot of experience, he has driven in a top team, he has achieved many podiums and he knows what it is like to win. I am curious about his way of driving and how he handles it". The arrival of Mercedes as an engine supplier will help the two make the next step.
Finally, Norris is also looking forward to the arrival of new races, referring to the addition of the Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia. "There are a number of additions to the calendar, but I'm also looking forward to some circuits we couldn't go to last year, like America, Japan and Singapore. They are some of my favourite places and I hope we can go to them together with fans this year. We've missed them a lot," concludes Norris.
