Aston Martin retains BWT as sponsor: pink colour stays on the car

BWT will remain involved with Aston Martin, even after the name change from Racing Point to the car manufacturer. There have been many rumours recently that BWT was looking for a new team, but Aston Martin has revealed that BWT will remain prominently involved with the team after all. An all pink livery, as in 2017, will not be the case. We will, however, see the pink colour on the new car of Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll.
"On 3 March we will launch the new team, with a completely new base colour. Today's news does ensure that subtle BWT colours will feature alongside the BWT logo," Aston Martin said in an official statement. Otmar Szafnauer, Aston Martin team boss, said he was pleased with the decision.
Partnership for sustainable team
"The people at BWT have been enormously loyal to the team and I am delighted that they have chosen to continue as a partner with Aston Martin. BWT will continue to support us in becoming more sustainable in all areas, but especially along the track. That's a goal Formula 1 itself has around sustainability."
BWT, or Best Water Technology, aims to work in a sustainable way. Their goal is therefore to reduce the amount of plastic, by reusing a lot. "Our cooperation is very strong and our history is important as we enter a new era and I am looking forward to what we can achieve together," concludes Szafnauer.
