Vettel happy with first test day, but not quite used to the AMR21 yet

Sebastian Vettel is in his element at his new team Aston Martin. The German drove the morning session in Bahrain and in the afternoon his teammate Lance Stroll took over from him. In total the team drove 97 laps on the Bahrain International Circuit.
It was not the first time Vettel had taken a seat in the AMR21, having already completed two days of filming at Silverstone and one prior to the winter test in Bahrain. "But of course those weren't enough meters," the four-time world champion revealed at Sky Germany.
Programme finished as hoped
"Today was the first day we could really drive. I was able to learn a lot, but there are still some things I need to get used to," Vettel admitted. Vettel set the 13th fastest time on Friday, while team mate Stroll ended the day in fourth place.
Vettel does speak of a productive morning. "We were able to finish our program and it was fun." There was a brief moment when Vettel drove slowly at the end of the pits, but according to the German there were no major problems. Tomorrow morning Vettel will take his seat in the car again. He will once again alternate with Stroll in the afternoon.
