Ralf Schumacher disagrees with the decision of the FIA. According to Schumacher the overtaking action of Max Verstappen on Lewis Hamilton was 'within the rules' and he should have won the race.
Hamilton the surprise
For Schumacher, Hamilton was the big surprise in Bahrain. "Although Max Verstappen was faster, it was Lewis' clever strategy and driving skills that ultimately made the difference - along with the FIA's momentous decision", the six-time race winner said in his column on Sky Sport Deutschland.
Unlike many of his colleagues, Schumacher does not agree with the FIA's decision to ask Verstappen to give the spot back. "I still consider his off-track overtaking manoeuvre in Turn 4 to be fair and within the rules", Schumacher continued.
Verstappen had no choice but to dodge
According to the German, Verstappen could not do much else as he was pushed to the outside by Hamilton. "If Verstappen wants to avoid a collision, he has no choice but to dodge. I don't think there is an advantage for Verstappen."
