Marko contradicts chief engineer: 'First updates in Portugal'

Earlier today Red Bull's chief engineer Paul Monaghan was still talking about upcoming updates for Red Bull at Imola, but those statements are now contradicted by Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko.
Red Bull not at top level
Although Red Bull probably had the strongest package in Bahrain, they didn't win. According to Marko that was mainly down to Red Bull themselves. "We made small mistakes, for example in the choice of race tyres. The fact that Max had problems with the differential at the beginning didn't help either," Marko told F1 Insider.
Nevertheless, Marko remains positive. "A year ago we would have drawn the result like this. We succeeded in our goal of really putting pressure on Mercedes right from the start. Now we have to make sure we get everything out of our package, which we failed to do in Bahrain."
Major update in Portugal
Although Monaghan spoke earlier today about updates in Imola, Marko says something different. "In Imola we will drive more or less with the car we started with in Bahrain. There we have to get rid of the mistakes we made in Bahrain. Then we are in a very good position. The first big update for us will come during the third race in Portugal."
