Schumacher remains focused in unique way: 'I'm talking to myself'

What do you do during a 2 hour Formula One race? Mick Schumacher states that he keeps talking to himself to stay focused, even though he himself thought it sounds crazy.
Schumacher makes his debut in Formula 1 for Haas this season. The first race in Bahrain didn't go quite as planned, although the son of Michael Schumacher, unlike his teammate, was able to drive a full race. In a video for Under Armour, Schumacher explains more about his mental processes.
Schumacher talks to himself
For example, Schumacher goes into what he does to stay focused. ''Someone once told me that it's good to keep talking to yourself. The first time I heard that I still thought 'that's weird', but actually it's very useful'', Schumacher says in the video.
''If you are able to talk to yourself, then you always come back to your own thoughts. So that way you can keep walking past your problems as well. If you have a problem with the tire, then you talk to yourself about what you can do in that situation. So when I'm racing that comes very easily, and it always brings me into focus to keep on racing'', the German concludes.
