Alonso postpones biography until after race career: 'Otherwise it's a bit strange'

Fernando Alonso has been working on his autobiography for a long time, telling his life story. Initially, the book was to be released at the end of his Formula One career in 2018, but as he continued to race and is now back in Formula One, the publication has been delayed.
Telling the truth
After leaving Formula One, Alonso continued to race in the WEC and the Dakar Rally. "I've been working on the book for a couple of years," he told an Instagram live feed from his team Alpine. "I was originally planning to release it in 2018, when I left Formula 1," quote Autosport.com. "But then we delayed it for a while because I realized that I kept racing in different categories and now I'm back in Formula 1."
So the book is definitely going to come, but fans will have to wait a little longer. "I will do it when I stop [racing], and I can tell my own experiences and my own truth of things. If the book comes out while I'm racing, it might be a little weird. So I prefer to finish it and then tell my experience of my life in motor racing."
