Verstappen has 'completely different mindset' now that he can fight for pole every race

Max Verstappen's first two races this season have included a pole position, a victory and a second place. The battle for the championship with Lewis Hamilton seems to be heating up this year, as the difference between the two is just one point, which Hamilton achieved by setting the fastest lap in Imola.
Mindset
Like many fans, Verstappen himself can't wait to get back in his car. "I'm looking forward to going to Portugal again. Last year we were on the podium there and I think we have a better car now, so I'm looking forward to getting everything out of the car that we can and having a bit of fun," he revealed in an official Red Bull Racing press release.
The Dutchman is also particularly pleased with the fact that the RB16B can compete with the Mercedes from the start of the season this year. "We've felt every race weekend so far that there was a chance to win. It feels like a completely different mindset now when you know you can fight for pole. We've learned a lot from the last few years, I'm very excited to see what the future holds for us."
Not easy
However, the Mercedes team, with a driver like Hamilton, is of course an opponent against whom you can never and should never slack off. "It won't be easy, but we are going to do everything we can to stay in contention this season," said the Dutchman.
