Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen set new record in Formula 1
- GPblog.com
For the fifteenth time ever we saw a podium with Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen in attendance at the ceremony last Sunday. The drivers of Mercedes and Red Bull respectively have now taken the record into their own hands.
In 2020, the season saw 17 Grands Prix, eight of which Hamilton, Verstappen and Bottas were on the podium together (in no particular order) after the race. In 2021, the counter now stands at two after three GPs.
It is clear that the record that has now been set, will be further improved by the trio. With twenty Grands Prix still to go it is not inconceivable that in December 2021 we will have seen the same men on the podium some 25 times.
