Charles Leclerc was the best of the rest today as he finished fourth in the Spanish Grand Prix. The Monegasque driver overtook Valtteri Bottas on the first corner of the race but was unable to hold his podium place, however, he was still happy with his performance.

"Today was an amazing race for us. We could not have done anything better. P4 was the best that we could do. Very happy with the job of the team," Leclerc explained happily to Sky Sports after the race.

"We were incredibly competitive to our main competitors. We were a bit the stand out for the race today. So, it was good. The feeling with the car was amazing and in the early part of the race on the soft it felt very good. We didn't have much degradation."

Despite running somewhat comfortably in P4, Leclerc revealed that he was wary of Sergio Perez behind him, after pitting. "Then on the medium, it was all about trying to manage to keep some tyres. We were a bit worried about Sergio. He had very good pace but it seemed to fade towards the end."
