Norris future world champion: 'Something that is always difficult to predict'
- GPblog.com
The performance of McLaren driver Lando Norris this season has been positive. The driver was briefly in third place in the world championship after an excellent opening to the season, although that spot is currently held by Valtteri Bottas.
Several analysts in Formula 1 are therefore calling Norris a possible world champion in the future. The driver has enough talent and knows how to get everything out of his McLaren for the time being. Team boss Andreas Seidl must be laughing in conversation with the official website of Formula 1 Seidl had a good laugh at the high expectations. "If you read all the comments from the last 12 months, we have a lot of future world champions at the moment on the grid," he states.
Satisfied with performance of Norris
Seidl is very satisfied with Norris' current performance. "It's impressive to see what he's pulling off this year, and I think if he keeps developing like that as a driver and as a person, I think he has everything in some years which is required in order to be a top driver in Formula 1."
However, it does not mean that he will be world champion just like that, Seidl argues. "I think to be a world champion is then again a different story again. That's something that is always difficult to predict; you need to be in the right car at the right moment, and you need to pull it off also as a driver 23 times a year and not just [a few] times."
