FIA links Verstappen to former world champion at press conference
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen is preparing for the fifth race weekend of the season. In Monaco he hopes to be the first to cross the finish line and get a step closer to Lewis Hamilton in the world championship.
This Wednesday the Dutchman will attend the press conference and look ahead to the race weekend. Verstappen will sit next to Sebastian Vettel, who is having disappointing results in his Aston Martin. The German has not yet scored a single time in the points, which puts extra pressure on his performance in Monaco.
The FIA has also paired two world champions together. Whereas Fernando Alonso is still a two-time world champion, Hamilton has won this honour no less than seven times. Red Bull driver Sergio Pérez sits next to Yuki Tsunoda. The Japanese driver did not finish the last Grand Prix in Barcelona, but hopes to get a better result in Monaco.
