Leclerc after surprising pole: "I actually thought it was a bad lap".

For a second Grand Prix in a row Charles Leclerc has taken pole position. Remarkably, the Monegasque grabbed the position again after qualifying was called off early by a red flag.
"It was actually a pretty bad lap, in my opinion. There were two or three corners where I made a mistake, but in the last sector I had a big tow from Lewis Hamilton. That helped me a little bit. But I think we would have ended up on pole position anyway without the slipstream. It's a good day, I didn't expect them to be so combative. I thought I was already improving just before the last red flag. But it is what it is, it's pole again. Too bad for Carlos, hopefully he's okay, I haven't seen the crash yet," Leclerc said just after qualifying.
"It feels very good, but other side it's again with a red flag. We'll see on a normal track where we really stand. The car feels good for tomorrow, but I think Mercedes and Red Bull have a bit more for the race. It's going to be tricky, it's not like Monaco here, you can overtake here. I'm going to do everything I can, hopefully I can hold on to this first place", the Monegasque concluded.
