Verstappen sees roles reversed: 'Normally a strong point of Mercedes'

Max Verstappen enjoyed Sunday in Austria. On the Red Bull Ring, he was much faster than the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. An elated Verstappen reacts to his afternoon in Spielberg at Sky Sports.
"This race was enjoyable, to be honest," Verstappen responded in front of the British Medium's camera. "I had a really good pace and also in terms of tyre degradation it was very positive for us. That is (normally, ed.) a strong point of Mercedes so we can be satisfied with that."
Verstappen not getting ahead of himself
Verstappen's lead in the world championship has grown by six points. The difference between the two drivers is currently eighteen points. "I'm trying to make as few mistakes as possible and score as many points as possible and then we'll see where we are at the end of the season," he is candid.
Will Verstappen feel much more comfortable in 2021 than in the 2020 car? "With that car, I was also at one with it, but that car was just not as fast as the current one. You drive to the limit of the car. We have a good car and we want it to get better. There are always things you can do better," he says of the RB16B.
