Wolff compares Mercedes with Austrian team: 'We have everything against us'

As Mercedes fall further and further behind in the title race with Red Bull Racing, Toto Wolff once again finds himself playing the underdog. This time he compares himself to the Austrian national football team.
Mercedes have been the team to beat in the last seven years, and have been World Champion in Formula 1 seven times in a row, a record in the sport. Still, Wolff is taking on the role of underdog this season, as he tends to do more often than not. The question is whether people will go along with that.
Wolff the underdog again
Wolff is using the Austrian football team as an example for his team. ''They didn't give up when they were 2-0 down. My conclusion is that we fight just as hard as the Austrian team did. A real fighter never gives up,'' the Mercedes team boss told ServusTV.
''It seems that our chances are not that great, and that we have everything against us. We have a weaker package and we have also already stopped developing our car. Now we really need to find every smallest millimetre where we can still get performance out of it, otherwise the world title is lost."
