Verstappen's burnout reminds Latifi of crash with Merhi in 2015

We all know the moment by now: Max Verstappen slowed down on the straight after his victory in the Styrian Grand Prix. Much has been said and written about it already, but Nicholas Latifi also made a comment when asked about the incident last week in Austria.
Verstappen did a burn-out, but behind him were several backmarkers. Verstappen drove all the way to the right of the asphalt and Latifi was one of the drivers who drove on the left, but still, Michael Masi was not at all pleased with the action of the 23-year-old Dutchman.
How did Latifi experience it himself? "I saw that Max was driving on the inside to celebrate with his team, so I stayed as far to the left as possible," said the Williams driver, who did get involved in a similar case in 2015. Then it was Robert Merhi who braked heavily in front at the Red Bull Ring in the Formula Renault. "
"I drove into another car when I had my eyes in the rear-view mirror, but this time it wasn't the case. It can end badly. I don't think many will in the future. It's better not to slow down so much," Latifi told Motorsport-Total.com and others.
