Helmut Marko and Toto Wolff are having more and more trouble with each other. Jos Verstappen already revealed that the two don't like each other, and that's evident from the interview Marko gave to the Kronen Zeitung.
This season the pressure is on for Red Bull Racing and Mercedes, and that of course also puts pressure on the team principal's Wolff and Marko have been at loggerheads more and more lately. Wolff has been making protest after protest against Red Bull Racing, which Marko can't stand. Especially the new pitstop regulations were a big problem for him.
Wolff versus Marko
''You'd better make sure your drivers drive safely out of the pits. That could have ended fatally,'' Marko says of Valtteri Bottas ' spin in the pit lane to the Kronen Zeitung. ''It's very nice that Wolff is so concerned about us, but maybe he should be more concerned with his own team, and not make a protest every so often.''
Marko also had to hear that Wolff had said there would be no more updates, while James Allison would later declare that there were. ''I have more with their Chief Technical Officer, James Allison, who did announce updates. However, I don't think they will bring updates in the short term'', Marko concludes.
