Max Verstappen's victory in the first-ever F1 sprint race has secured him the first starting spot for the British Grand Prix. However, behind him is a hungry Lewis Hamilton, who last won in Barcelona. He will be out to beat the Dutchman at Silverstone.
"It’s super nice to see so many fans coming out to support the drivers on a great day like today. Hopefully, we can have a very exciting race," said Verstappen in the Build-Up. As the Dutchman waves to the more than 140,000 people in the stands, Verstappen explains how he intends to build on Saturday's result.
Verstappen ready for battle
"You always try to have a good start, it was a lot of fun to push on lower fuel in the race, but the most important race is today. We’ll try to have another great race". In any case, the Dutchman has no intention of letting the Mercedes pass.
"Of course super weather today, quite hot. Yesterday was a good day for us, but the most important thing is today. I hope we can finish in the same position, but it won't be easy. We are going to do everything we can to win," Verstappen concluded.
