Hill enjoyed the duel between Verstappen and Schumacher

Max Verstappen and Mick Schumacher won't often meet on the track, but at the Hungarian Grand Prix the two fought out a great duel. Damon Hill enjoyed the spectacle between the two young drivers.
The unfortunate collision with Lando Norris in the first corner meant that Max Verstappen had to drive the rest of the Hungarian Grand Prix with a heavily damaged car. The bargeboard on the right side of the RB16B was completely removed and the floor was also badly damaged.
As a result, the Dutchman was unable to compete at the front of the field and had to fight hard for even a single point. He did so in an impressive duel with Mick Schumacher, who is normally no match for the Red Bull Racing driver. Damon Hill savoured the duel. "I really enjoyed the duel without limits with Verstappen," the former-World Champion told the F1 Nation podcast.
Excellent learning year for Schumacher
The Brit particularly enjoyed Schumacher's determination. The young German had no intention of giving up his spot to Verstappen just like that. "Even though he has an uncompetitive car at his disposal at the moment," he said.
"In the theater you also have to be able to perform at your best and give everything, even if you only have a supporting role. I think Mick is making the most of his learning year at Haas. The duel with Verstappen is proof that, if he gets a faster car he can prove he has earned a place in Formula 1," the former F1 driver concluded.
