Marko satisfied: 'He is definitely driving his strongest season'

Helmut Marko is satisfied with the performance of Red Bull Racing. The Austrian team is fighting for the world title with Max Verstappen, although the Dutchman is still second in the standings. The advisor looks at AlphaTauri with just as much positivity.
Pierre Gasly failed to perform well alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull a few years ago, but in the AlphaTauri car he is showing his qualities again. The Frenchman is currently in eighth position with 50 points. Yuki Tsunoda has 32 points less and is in thirteenth place.

As a result, Marko remains tough on the Japanese driver for now. "The head is not only there to put the helmet on, but also to think," he told Speedweek. "He is young, with a lot of Japanese mentality, but he makes mistakes when they are not necessary at all, like in a first practice session. But he'll be fine. He still has time."
He is more enthusiastic about Gasly. "He is definitely driving his strongest season. And he is extremely important as a team leader for AlphaTauri, the team has become a top midfield team."
