The duel between Mercedes and Red Bull this year is more exciting and spectacular than ever. But who has the advantage? Are the two teams really that close? Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will both be happy with their car.

The differences between the two teams are extremely small. Red Bull can at least say that with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez it has taken two more wins than Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes. Red Bull also captured one more pole position than Mercedes this year, something that was unimaginable in recent years.

Mercedes more podiums and points

Mercedes performs better than Red Bull. The British team has four more podiums, mainly thanks to Valtteri Bottas. Mercedes is also twelve points ahead of Red Bull in the Constructors' Championship. This is mainly due to the last two race weekends in Silverstone and Hungary. Then Red Bull only conquered points during the race in Hungary. A total of two.

There are no differences in the number of dropouts (three) and fastest laps (five). So both teams have lost 25 points five times and collected five points with the fastest lap. Next weekend in Spa the exciting battle for the championship will continue.
