Vettel furious with race officials after crash: "What the f*ck did I say?"
- GPblog.com
The wet qualifying session in Belgium was remarkably quiet until Lando Norris crashed out. Sebastian Vettel called for the session to be halted even before the Briton's fast lap and is furious with the race director.
While a handful of drivers are trying to find out exactly how wet the track is at the start of Q3, due to another downpour, it's Sebastian Vettel who quickly concludes that qualifying should be stopped. The German's message fell on deaf ears as the stewards decided to start the session as usual.
Lando Norris is the first to start with his fast lap, but that lap is soon over. The McLaren driver loses control of his car at Eau Rouge and crashes into the wall, resulting in a red flag. As soon as Vettel gets this message from his engineer, the German is furious: "What the f*ck did I say? What did I say? Stop the session! This is so unnecessary... Is Norris okay?"

Vettel on the spot
Sebastian Vettel doesn't wait for his engineer to tell him if Norris is alright. The German rushed to the crash site and personally checked if his young colleague needed any help. Even before the medical car arrived at Norris.
