During qualifying Max Verstappen almost lost his pole position because his DRS didn't open in the all-deciding lap. Afterwards Red Bull Racing already announced that they can fix it if something is broken and the FIA has now announced that indeed a part has been replaced on the DRS of the Dutchman.

The DRS drive has been replaced on the Red Bull driver's car, which could mean something broke in the final run in Q3. His teammate's engine has been replaced, including the Energy Store, which is a different specification. As a result, the Mexican will not start from the back of the grid, but from the pitlane.

Parts related to the new engine have also been replaced. Other notable changes include Pierre Gasly 's tyre set being changed and Antonio Giovinazzi 's right front tyre being replaced. We saw a lot of men around that for a long time in Q2, probably because the wheel was stuck.
