'Verstappen does his job very, very calmly. He's way ahead of his age'

While speculation about the title chances of Holland's own Max Verstappen in 2021 is already rife, the driver from Limburg has now received a very telling declaration of support. Both Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button, both former teammates of Lewis Hamilton, see in Verstappen the mental strength of a champion.
In Verstappen's attitude during the Grand Prix weekend at Zandvoort, and the calmness with which he took victory on his home turf, Rosberg sees the mental attitude of a champion. "That's his strength, you could see it in his celebrations too - it wasn't like the biggest day of his life. Yeah, it was like, 'I got a great win, let's celebrate'," he is quoted as saying by Speedweek.
"It's the mental attitude of a champion and the drive of a champion," Rosberg continued.
Ahead of his age
Button agrees with his former colleague's analysis. "He does his job very, very quietly," he says of Verstappen. "He is way ahead of his age".
"We are all emotional and full of adrenaline at times, and then you feel a bit cocky and regret it afterwards. But he's always been pretty consistent, both in wins and defeats," the Brit concluded.
