Where Dutch fans, both in the grandstands and in front of the television, already saw how Max Verstappen handled his Grand Prix weekend at home base Zandvoort flawlessly, this is now also confirmed by the official power rankings of Formula 1. Here too, the Dutchman received a 10 out of 10 for his weekend at Circuit Zandvoort.
At the end of each weekend, Formula 1 publishes a driver rating list, based on the opinions of six experts. Verstappen leads comfortably in the Zandvoort power rankings. He received a perfect score. This also means he is still leading in the seasonal ranking, with an average of 9.1.
After Verstappen, it was Gasly who made the strongest impression. He qualified fourth and managed to hold this position throughout the race in the dunes, continuing his strong form into another weekend. For his strong performance at Zandvoort the Frenchman received a 9.5.
Hamilton stays behind
Lewis Hamilton, the Dutchman's direct competitor, failed to match Verstappen's level. Although the judges praised his hard fighting performance on Sunday, he was given a 9 for failing to really challenge the Red Bull driver. Hamilton is now third in the standings, with an 8.2. Fellow countryman Norris is among the title contenders, with an average of 8.5.
