In this statistic, Perez stands head and shoulders above the rest
- GPblog.com
While Sergio Perez was forced to play catch-up in Zandvoort due to a poor qualifying as well as a PU-swap, there is one statistic that puts the Mexican driver head and shoulders above his competition: the amount of overtaking during the race.
With ten successful overtakes, Sergio Perez is the pre-eminent 'top overtaker' of the Dutch Grand Prix. He made twice as many as Sebastian Vettel, who came second.

Whether it is a blessing for Perez that he ends up high in this list is doubtful. It can be argued that if he had a stronger qualifying performance he wouldn't have to overtake his midfield colleagues to fight his way into the points on Sunday.
Season overview
On the other hand, this statistic speaks of Perez's specific qualities as a racer. The driver has always been better in the race, and in terms of overtaking is sometimes unmatched. In the season standings, Vettel leads the way with 82 successful overtakes. Perez is third here, with 75.
