Red Bull presents special Honda livery for Turkish GP
- GPblog.com
On the weekend that the Japanese Grand Prix was due to take place, the home race of engine supplier Honda, Red Bull Racing is sporting a special livery on both their cars and overalls in honour of its partnership with the Japanese brand.
Fruitful cooperation
Honda and Red Bull will work together for the first time at Toro Rosso in 2018. The collaboration was successful and from 2019 the Honda engine was also screwed into the Red Bull. In Austria that season, Max Verstappen scored his first victory. In Hungary, the Red Bull Racing-Honda combination took pole position for the first time.
In 2021, the partnership seems to be at its peak. For the first time in his career, Verstappen can take a serious shot at the world title. With seven races to go, he is only two points behind rival Lewis Hamilton. Honda will retire from Formula 1 at the end of this season and could therefore say goodbye with a world title.
Special livery in Turkey
As a tribute to the partnership with Honda and the loss of the Japanese Grand Prix, Red Bull will race the Turkish Grand Prix with a special Honda livery. It has been presented.
