Verstappen likes special Honda livery: "Really cool, I like it"

After a crazy ending to the race in Sochi during the Russian Grand Prix, a week of rest was in order for the teams and the drivers. The Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul Park is just around the corner and the title battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton continues unabated.
New round, new chances
The gap between the two drivers is currently only two points. Verstappen called last year's race in Turkey the least fun he had ever had. Due to a new layer of asphalt and rainfall, the track of Istanbul Park was very slippery. Verstappen himself spun behind the Racing Point car of his current teammate Sergio Perez.
However, the Dutchman's outlook is brighter: "In principle, the track conditions are the same for everyone. But I am sure that this time the track will be in a completely different condition. The track here is really fantastic, one of my favourite tracks when I drive a simulation, unfortunately, we couldn't show everything last year because it was so slippery," Verstappen said at the press conference for the Turkey GP, recorded by Speedweek.com.
New livery
Verstappen will drive in a special red and white livery this weekend. "I think this white base colour is really cool. In general, I always find it exciting when we race in different colours. But this time it is very special. We wanted to thank Honda at Suzuka, but unfortunately, we can't go to Japan because of Coronavirus. So we said to ourselves - let's do it anyway! I really like it."
