The strategies for the Turkish Grand Prix are likely to be binned. After heavy rain on Saturday night the track is currently wet and still drizzling, so a start on intermediates seems inevitable.

The chance of rain during the race remains small, but just like in Russia, there might be a shower. It's also likely to be a wet start, as it's still drizzling at the moment and the track isn't drying particularly quickly.

Chances for Verstappen after rain in Turkey

This might just be an opportunity for Max Verstappen. The start will be important for the Dutchman, who earlier indicated that the inside has less grip than the outside. He therefore doesn't expect to get away as well as those who start on the outside, but a wet start might be an opportunity.

Red Bull Racing has also been strong on a wet Istanbul Park, so for them it might as well stay that way. The race is expected to be run on a slowly drying track, which would be to Mercedes' advantage.
