Red Bull Racing worried: 'The same as driving with DRS open'

Helmut Marko praised Sergio Perez's performance but is concerned about Mercedes' progress. According to the Austrian his team will have to work hard to beat Mercedes.
After a difficult qualifying session Perez had a good start of the race and immediately moved up to fourth place. Halfway through the race, the Mexican was visited by Hamilton, who seemed to have much more speed. Perez fought back and managed to keep the Briton behind him, much to Marko's delight.
Perez makes impression
''He fought back super hard because we were worried that Lewis might try an undercut. In the final laps, Sergio's speed was really good. Checo said he had the potential to go for the fastest lap, but we didn't want to take any risks. The tire management was all decisive today. We didn't take any risks with that either,'' Marko said according to Motorsport.com.
Marko is worried about Mercedes' speed though. ''Mercedes is clearly faster on the straights. Here the difference was fifteen kilometres per hour. That is actually the same as driving with DRS open. Since Silverstone, the difference has grown, so we have to try to optimise our chassis even more to correct it'', concludes Red Bull Racing's chief executive.
