Red Bull Racing had a difficult weekend in Turkey, but still managed a double podium. The team were struggling throughout the weekend, but Christian Horner feels that things will be very different in the United States.
How does the Red Bull team boss rate Max Verstappen's chances this weekend? "We have no idea. This has been a strong track for Lewis but we're hopeful we've got a good car and this layout of circuit will play to our strengths," Horner said in conversation with Sky Sports. "And the heat and the bumps, who knows what affect they'll have."
Horner nuances difficult weekend
"I think it's circuit dependant," the Briton continued. "I don't think we got the most out of the tyres last weekend, I think Mercedes are optimised in a straight line. I think it played to their strengths."
Both Verstappen and Sergio Perez had a difficult weekend, although both drivers managed to turn that into a podium finish. "We were out of the window in getting our car working properly," concludes Horner. So, new round, new chances.
