Verstappen: "I don’t see why we always have to keep bringing this up"

It's been five years since we last saw such an exciting title race. As if things weren't exciting enough already, every incident between the two title contenders has been scrutinised by the press. The possibility of a new incident is intriguing, but Verstappen prefers not to concern himself with that.
"I don’t see why we always have to keep bringing this up", said the Dutchman when asked at the press conference if he thinks he will get through the first corner in one piece. "Like we always try, as professionals. It’s not like we are the only ones who have touched, you know, in this sport and these things happen, unfortunately."
Hamilton expects to get through Turn 1
Hamilton is also trying to put the excitement into perspective ahead of the first corner. "I hope we’ll make it through turn one and we get a good race. I don’t think it’s all decided on turn 1", said the world champion, who was then asked about the incident during free practice, when Hamilton let Verstappen go wide in Turn 1.
"Well firstly, I didn’t run him wide. He decided to go round the outside and ended up going wide because… you can ask him, but we were battling into the last corner… and it’s a silly thing. It’s all fun and games. We’ll have fun tomorrow and give it everything as you would expect."
