There has been a lot of discussion surrounding Formula One's Netflix series Drive To Survive. Opinions are divided, but according to Romain Grosjean, the sport is doing good business with the series.

Max Verstappen previously announced that he will no longer work on the series. The Dutchman thinks the series is 'fake' and doesn't think it reflects the reality. Carlos Sainz was also disappointed after last season, because he thought Ferrari was not portrayed in the best possible way.

Romain Grosjean responds to Verstappen's criticism. According to him, the Netflix series is a good addition and brings more audience to the sport. In the past season, Grosjean was seen a lot due to the accident during the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Drive To Survive is made to be American

"The series is fantastic in the sense that it opened Formula 1 to people who did not necessarily know about it", Grosjean tells RTL. "And now we have a fan base that has increased. It’s made to be American, with special effects, sounds effects."

"The first season was very hard for me. I didn’t watch that one. The next two were a little nicer, especially obviously with the accident last year. But I find that for Formula 1 it has been a very good thing", says Grosjean.
