Verstappen to stewards for parc fermé rules, but Vettel did the same earlier
- GPblog.com
There is still no decision on Lewis Hamilton's DRS investigation. So far we know that the FIA is still waiting for evidence and that Max Verstappen will also have to report to the stewards this afternoon. In the meantime, there is already a lot of discussion as to whether these drivers will be penalised.
Hamilton took pole position in qualifying for the sprint race, but had to report to the stewards for a possible infringement. This morning it was announced that Verstappen will also have to report to them at 12:30 UK time, as a video showed the Dutchman touching the rear wing of Hamilton's car.
Meanwhile, people are already trying to find evidence that Verstappen doesn't deserve a penalty. A video is shared on Twitter in which you can see Sebastian Vettel pushing a Mercedes car. A man from the FIA is standing next to him and looks at what he is doing, but says or does nothing. In the video of Verstappen someone from the FIA is also standing very close, but again nothing is said.
But then again, Vettel moving a Mercedes' car. Next to the FIA man. How is that allowed? If parc ferme rules is there for everyone why didn't Vettel get something? Next to a FIA man again! pic.twitter.com/ns7zeaPt0o
