On Saturday it was cool in Sao Paulo, but for Sunday much higher temperatures are expected. The teams will have to adjust their strategies accordingly. It's good news for Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen, because the Red Bull seems to perform better in warm conditions.

The circuit of Interlagos is expected to remain sunny and dry throughout the day. Around the time of the race the temperatures will be at their highest at 27 degrees.

Good for Red Bull, less good for Mercedes

Good news for Red Bull, but perhaps less good news for Mercedes and its customer teams. The German engines usually struggle at high altitude, but in combination with high temperatures that effect seems to be amplified.

The changed conditions will have a big influence on the choice of tyres. In the sprint qualifying on Saturday the soft compound performed best, but for the longer distance to be covered in the main race this will be less likely, especially considering the high temperatures.
