Max Verstappen went into the weekend as the big favourite for victory on Sunday. Many were expecting a dominant weekend in the vein of the Mexico Grand Prix, but Lewis Hamilton's strong Saturday has shaken things up considerably. Verstappen remains the clear favourite for the win though, as can be seen at betting shops Toto.com and Bwin.com.

Both Verstappen and Hamilton have dropped back a bit at the bookmakers. On the Thursday, before the Brazilian Grand Prix, there was not much to gain by betting on Verstappen. At both Toto.nl and Bwin.com, the Dutchman would have won more than one and a half times his stake in the race.

Hamilton's odds were slightly lower, with both betting shops offering three times the odds if the Mercedes driver won.

Odds for Verstappen and Hamilton shaken up

Due to the developments during the eventful weekend in Brazil, the odds have shaken up considerably. Both title rivals have lost out: Hamilton's loss is probably due to Friday's disqualification, although his strong performance on Saturday means he is still in the running for victory.

Verstappen has also dropped back a little. This is also expected to be due to Mercedes' strong performance on Saturday. However, the Red Bull Racing driver is still the favourite to take the win, partly due to the change in weather conditions.

Brazilian Grand Prix Ratings

Toto: Verstappen 2.00 | Hamilton 3.45

Bwin: Verstappen 1.72 | Hamilton 3.00
