Time difference makes Mercedes protest against Verstappen extra complicated
- GPblog.com
The stewards are still undecided on whether to review the investigation into the incident between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in Brazil. The decision has been postponed until Friday, but at what time the talks will resume is still a question mark. The different time zones in which the stewards are located make the whole thing quite complicated.
The same stewards who decided not to penalise Verstappen have to decide jointly whether or not to reopen the case. This is proving to be quite a challenge, however, as not all of them are present in Qatar.
Big time difference complicates work of stewards
One of the stewards is currently in the United States, where the time difference with Qatar is eight hours. It is therefore possible that the time difference has played a role in the postponement of the decision.
When we can expect a verdict remains therefore a question mark. In all likelihood it will be well after noon.
