Wolff denies cheating rumours: 'You would be crazy'

The championship battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen is increasingly about the rear wing of the British driver. According to Red Bull Racing the competitor is not following the rules, but Toto Wolff denies this.
The Mercedes team boss emphasised in conversation with Motorsport.com that his team has no reasons to act outside the rules of Formula 1. According to the Austrian, in today's top sports climate it is impossible to do so unseen, so the accusations of the competition would not be true.
"I don't think anyone would show up at the track with an illegal engine or an illegal rear wing," Wolff stated. "This world is far too transparent for that and you would be crazy to make decisions that are illegal in a team with that kind of visibility. That's one hundred percent certain."
Wolff continues to deny
Next, Wolff has another clear message for Red Bull. "I have always said that this is the way to fight, after all you are trying to prevent an opponent from having an unregulated advantage. If you are sceptical or someone has told you something, then you have to go for it. This particular wing alone has been checked fourteen times and the FIA also has all the drawings. So what Red Bull expects to find doesn't exist."
