The 2024 British Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, 7th July. This means that the event at Silverstone retains the same weekend placing in the calendar as the 2023 Formula 1 season.
It is unclear whether the British Grand Prix will form part of the sprint weekends in 2024. The very first sprint race took place at the venue in 2021, but the format is yet to return to Silverstone. Either way, the first free practice session will take place on Friday, July 5.
Presuming the weekend follows the traditional format, the second free practice will take place on the same day. A third and final free practice session will take place on Saturday, July 6. This will be followed by qualifying. The British Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, July 7, with a start time expected to be at 15:00 BST.
The 2024 British Grand Prix forms part of the first triple-header of the season. It is tied in with the Spanish and Austrian Grands Prix taking place over the two weekends preceding Silverstone. Once again, the Hungarian and Belgian Grands Prix follow the event in England before Formula 1 enters a summer break.
