RedBull seat can save Yukis career. He knows that as well.30-03-2025 14:38

"If we focused on trying to make the car work for his driving style, then we may well end up with a slower car." I think this is the most important part. Something I have been talking last few weeks, considering RedBull. Teams who focus on just one driver, developing their car.29-03-2025 18:40

I agree with Ralf. I have said the same myself. Only that not about Hülkenberg but Sainz. Hülkenberg for me is too much of a rollercoaster, he can have totally fantastic race weekends and then at some race, he is totally lost. I have never rated Lawson or Tsunoda as high as most people do. After all, if you are a pay driver, then the sad reality behind it is, that there are better drivers out there, but only way to get a seat, is to compensate for one's shortcomings. Just like I do not rate Colapinto as high as most people do. His F2 season was nothing special either. And if you look their junior careers, nothing screams "OMG we should totally get this guy". But now we have Lawson and Hadjar at RB. I think will be interesting to see, who will come out on top. Hadjar did show great speed at last season F2. Top3 was in a league of their own. Only difference is that other two, Bortoleto and Aron, were rookies. So in that sense the other two stood out more. RedBull surely deserves criticism for their decisions. Too many times now they have stepped on the same rake. And just cause the driver is your own junior program driver, that does not mean you should not have an open mind and see what others are doing. Cause if other drivers beat your own junior program driver, then bells should ring already and should ask questions, is he really good enough to be in F1.29-03-2025 08:46

Disappointing how many driver decisions are still made in relation to drivers sponsors and drivers nationality. And how many talents are missing out cause of that.28-03-2025 20:44

Colapinto is there only cause of money, nothing else. Pretty sure he is currently paying even for testdriver role.27-03-2025 23:50

RB is developed to be easy driving car, so it is pretty neutral for anyone who will sit in it. As it is easy driving and neutral, any driver can use most of the cars potential. Neutral does usually means not the fastest, but it means easier to get the best out of the car. While RedBull is probably developed to be on the edge, close to limit with everything. Any upgrades that have been made with driver input and simulator use, has only been done listening what Verstappen has to say. And if Verstappen has specific driving style, like it is been said and asks for specific things for upgrades of the car. Then the car will move away from the driver in the 2nd seat and away from neutral status. Not saying that there is something wrong with that. Cause that is what teams do, with star drivers. Nobody cared what Barrichello or Irvine had to say in Ferrari, it was a one man team and if Schumacher did not like something that Barrichello or Irvine asked, then that was it really. So it is logical that whoever sits in RedBull 2nd seat, is slower as he cannot use the cars full potential, as it is not developed to be easy driving and secondly upgrades have been done, thinking of only Verstappen. So guys struggling in RedBull 2nd seat, does not only show how good Verstappen is, but also other things.27-03-2025 19:35

The points lost is actually higher and it is different to different teams. As you do not just lose points, but your opponents gain points as well, like Ferraris main opponent this season - Mercedes of Antonelli gaining 2 places cause of that. So 22 points lost to Mercedes for example.23-03-2025 13:44

Yeah, it is even worse that both cars were disqualified for different reasons. You hardly get a disqualification in a season. But to get 2 in 1 race and for different reasons, that is some next level stuff.23-03-2025 14:02
