The 2022 Australian Grand Prix will look different from previous editions as the circuit has undergone a major renovation. The race's organisers reveal the main changes in a new video on YouTube.

Last week, the organisation showed the changes up to turn eight of the circuit. This week the video starts with perhaps the most important change of the entire circuit - turns nine and 10 have been transformed into a straight. This allows the drivers to go flat out towards the left-right chicane which will be turns nine and 10 from this year on.

Drivers had their say

Daniel Ricciardo says he is happy with the changes and reveals that the organisation asked several drivers for their opinion before the changes were made. "We're gonna have a massive tow out of turn six and that will be quite good," he said.

At the end of the circuit, turn 13, now turn 11, has also been modified. The track has been widened and the corner is sharper, which should promote overtaking. The penultimate corner has also been modified - it has been made wider to make it easier for a following driver to attack.
