Mario Andretti's name was prominent at the United States Grand Prix. The motorsport legend was given his own corner at the Circuit of the Americas and took to the track in a McLaren on Saturday and Sunday.

Forty years after he entered Formula 1 action in the United States, Andretti stepped into an F1 car again last weekend. This time he did so in the 2013 McLaren MP4/28 fitted with the current livery, just like a week earlier at Laguna Seca. He took to the track alongside McLaren CEO Zak Brown, who drove the McLaren MP4/27.
"It was fabulous," Andretti said of his run in the McLaren car. "It was everything that you would expect. I'm just mad at myself that somehow some of the tricks in the cockpit didn't work out for me. Other than that, I am totally in awe of this man [Brown] for giving me this opportunity."
