Magnussen crash causes red flag, will be a standing restart in Mexico

- Toby McLuskie
Kevin Magnussen caused a red flag at the Mexican Grand Prix. The Haas driver had a big crash, after which his Formula 1 car caught fire due to overheated brakes. The FIA decided on a standing restart, meaning Max Verstappen lost his comfortable lead as well as will have to defend his leading position against Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
