Mercedes are set to unveil their challenger for the 2020 Formula 1 season on February 14 in a brief teaser video, making them the fifth team with a confirmed date so far.

Off the back of winning their sixth drivers and constructors championships in a row in 2019, the Silver Arrows are preparing for what could be their toughest season of recent times.

The minimal differences in regulations means the level of performance from the end of 2019 should translate through the off-season and with Ferrari and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing having caught up throughout last year 2020 could make for a very close battle.

Lewis Hamilton will be going for his record-equalling seventh World Championship with Michael Schumacher, as well as having a shot at breaking the Germans record of 91 wins (the Briton is currently on 84).

While Valtteri Bottas, who has been making the most of his time off tackling the snow, has emphasised his ambition and determination of winning a first title.

Launch dates so far:

February 11 - Ferrari

February 12 - Renault

February 13 - McLaren

February 14 - Mercedes & Alpha Tauri
