Nikita Mazepin managed to spin twice in the first free practice session at the same point on the track. The second time he failed to keep his Haas F1 out of the wall.

Mazepin twice off the track

Mazepin has a very difficult start to his Formula 1 career. The Russian spun regularly and in the first Grand Prix of 2021, he was not able to go further than three corners. During the first free practice at Imola, Mazepin spun twice.

The second time he spun just before the end of the session. With a few seconds to go, he parks his VF-21 in the wall. This was at the moment that Max Verstappen was doing a fast lap. The Dutchman had a green time in the first and second sector and seemed to be able to attack the time of Valtteri Bottas.
