Sui social media le reazioni al duello tra i due compagni di squadra nelle prime curve del Red Bull Ring si sono moltiplicate. Alcuni ritengono che sia Verstappen che Perez meritassero una penalità, ma i commissari della FIA l'hanno pensata diversamente.
I pareri sono discordanti sulla gara sprint in generale: mentre alcuni parlano di una gara emozionante, altri la definiscono soporifera. Inoltre, alcuni commentano che il distacco che Verstappen è riuscito ad accumulare in mezz'ora era davvero molto grande.
