The Japanese engine supplier will return after their departure in 2021, to supply engines to the Silverstone-based Aston Martin team.
Targeting the 2026 regulations for a greater focus on sustainable technologies, as well as seeing proof of their success through the current Red Bull cars, Honda has chosen to re-enter the fray with the rapidly rising Aston Martin F1 team.
With Red Bull choosing to partner with Ford as part of a branding deal in 2026, Honda were rapid in exploring alternate options, which eventually led them to settle on the prospect of the British racing team.
Engine, gearbox and rear suspension will continue to be provided to the Silverstone team by Mercedes, according to F1.com.
