Marko gets a warning from FIA
Marko received a storm of criticism after statements he made about the Mexican driver allegedly having form fluctuations because of his South American heritage. The 80-year-old Austrian apologised both publicly and in a private conversation with Perez for his comments.
"We can confirm that Helmut Marko, who is an advisor to the team, has received a written warning and has been reminded of his responsibilities as a public figure in motorsport in line with the FIA code of ethics," the statement read according to
Sky Sports.
